Bitget Referral Code (2026): How It Works, Where to Enter It, and What to Expect

By Exchange Notebook Editor · Published 1 November 2026 · Updated 1 November 2026

Disclosure: This article contains my Bitget referral link. If you sign up through it and trade, I may receive a share of your trading fees from Bitget. It does not change the fees you pay. I am not employed by Bitget, and nothing here is financial advice.

If you are about to open a Bitget account, you have probably seen the phrase “Bitget referral code” on dozens of sites promising huge sign-up bonuses. This guide takes a different approach: it explains what a referral code actually does, what Bitget’s own help centre says about referral rewards, where the code goes in the sign-up form, and the regional and risk issues you should check first. Everything below was checked against Bitget’s website on 1 November 2026. Promotions change often, so treat any reward details as a snapshot and confirm them on Bitget’s own pages before you rely on them.

Quick answer: open the sign-up form through my Bitget referral link, or enter the code YN888 in the optional “Referral code” field when you register.

What is a Bitget referral code?

A referral code is a short identifier that links your new account to the person or partner who invited you. On Bitget, existing users can generate a referral link or code from the Referral page on the website, or from the Referral icon in the app. When a new user registers with that link or code, Bitget records the relationship.

That link matters for two reasons:

  1. Rewards for the new user. Bitget’s referral program describes rewards for both sides when the invitee completes certain tasks.
  2. Commission for the inviter. The person who shared the code may earn rewards or a share of trading fees. That is why you see so many referral codes online, including this one.

A referral code does not give you a different account, different security, or a different fee schedule from the standard one shown on Bitget’s fee page. It is simply an attribution tag plus eligibility for any referral promotion running at the time.

What Bitget’s referral program says new users can earn

Bitget’s help centre article “Referral Program” describes how the standard program works:

The article also lists the kinds of items a Mystery Box may contain, such as USDT cash rewards, futures trading bonuses, futures position vouchers, Earn APR vouchers and spot fee rebate vouchers.

Why this guide does not quote a bonus amount

You will see sites promise “up to” thousands of USDT. I am deliberately not repeating a headline number here, for three reasons:

  1. Amounts change. Bitget runs separate, time-limited campaigns (for example, trading club and championship events) with their own pools, thresholds and eligibility rules. The figures in one campaign rarely apply to the next.
  2. “Up to” figures depend on trading volume. The larger rewards in Bitget’s referral rules are tied to trading volume thresholds. Chasing a volume target to unlock a reward can cost you more in fees and losses than the reward is worth.
  3. Eligibility is regional. Bitget’s campaign pages state that promotions are open only to users in designated regions and that Bitget can amend or cancel a promotion at any time.

The honest way to see what you qualify for is to sign up, open the Rewards Center or Referral section in the app, and read the live terms for your account and region.

How to use a Bitget referral code, step by step

Bitget’s support article “How to Register a Bitget Account? - Website Guide” lists the referral code as an optional field in the sign-up form. The process looks like this:

  1. Go to the official Bitget website or app. Bitget itself warns users to check the URL carefully to avoid phishing sites. If you use a referral link, check that the page you land on is a genuine Bitget page before entering anything.
  2. Choose email or mobile sign-up. You pick one method at registration. Bitget says you can link the other later for security.
  3. Enter the referral code. If you opened a referral link, the field may already be filled. If not, type the code manually. Do this now: Bitget’s exchange registration guide only describes the code as part of the sign-up form, and I could not find an official Bitget exchange procedure for adding a code after registration.
  4. Accept the User Agreement and Privacy Policy and click Next.
  5. Set a password. Bitget requires 8 to 32 characters with at least one number, one uppercase letter and one special character.
  6. Solve the captcha and enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email or phone.
  7. Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) from the Security section of your profile.

Bitget also lets you register with Google, Telegram or a wallet. If you use one of those, look for the referral code field before you finish the flow.

If you want the full walkthrough including identity verification, see the Bitget sign-up and KYC guide.

After you register: verification and reward tasks

Signing up with a referral code is only the first step. To use Bitget fully, you will need to complete identity verification (KYC). Bitget’s regulatory page states that it mandates KYC for all users, and its KYC guide says verification enables deposits, withdrawals and trading. Bitget’s events page states that you must be at least 18 and that identity verification can only be completed on one account.

Once you are verified, check the referral tasks in the app:

A practical rule for reward tasks

Decide what you would trade anyway, and only then look at whether it happens to meet a reward threshold. Do not increase your trading to hit a target. Trading fees apply to every order, and a trading-volume target can easily cost more than the reward it unlocks. For how those fees work, see Bitget fees explained.

Is it worth using a referral code at all?

For most new users, using a referral code costs nothing extra: Bitget’s fee schedule applies the same way whether you register with a code or without one. The possible benefit is eligibility for referral rewards. The possible downside is that some referral sites push you toward high-risk products to hit volume targets.

Here is a short checklist before you use any code, including mine:

Regional availability: check before you sign up

This site is written for readers in Australia and South Africa. Please check your own situation before signing up.

Prohibited countries. Bitget’s Terms of Use (last updated 20 October 2026) list Prohibited Countries including Austria, Belarus, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, North Korea, Russia, Singapore, Sudan, the United States and its territories, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Lebanon, Somalia, South Sudan, Thailand, and parts of Ukraine (Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia). The Terms also say you must not use a VPN to get around restrictions. If you live in one of these places, this offer is not for you.

Australia. Bitget’s licence page lists a digital currency exchange provider registration with AUSTRAC, and AUSTRAC’s register shows BTGT AUS PTY LTD trading as Bitget. AUSTRAC registration is an anti-money-laundering registration, not an Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence. ASIC has issued an investor alert warning Australians about Bitget’s unlicensed crypto asset futures products and stating that Bitget does not hold an AFS licence. For that reason, this site does not recommend Bitget futures or futures-linked rewards to Australian readers.

South Africa. Bitget’s licence page lists a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) licence and an Over-the-Counter Derivatives Provider (ODP) licence from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). Bitget’s Stock+ FAQ names Parsa Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, FSP 52563, as the FSCA-licensed entity for that service. You can check any provider on the FSCA’s public register.

Rules change. Check the current Terms of Use and your local regulator before you open an account.

Risk warning

Crypto assets are highly volatile, and you can lose all of the money you put in. Bitget’s own Terms of Use warn that price swings can cause significant losses, including total loss, over a short period. Futures, margin and copy trading carry higher risk because leverage magnifies losses. Referral rewards and vouchers do not reduce these risks. Nothing in this article is financial, tax or legal advice. Only use money you can afford to lose, and consider speaking to a licensed adviser.

Bottom line

A Bitget referral code is a simple attribution tag. It does not change your fees or protect you from risk, but it can make you eligible for referral rewards if you complete the tasks in time. Enter it at sign-up, read the live reward terms for your region, finish verification, and do not trade more just to unlock a bonus.

If you have decided Bitget is right for you and it is available where you live, you can create your Bitget account here.
